Aletheia is an online, peer-reviewed, interdisciplinary undergraduate journal. The mission of the Journal is to promote high-quality research and scholarship among undergraduates by showcasing exemplary work and by fostering mentor/mentee relationships between faculty and students. Aletheia presents students with an opportunity to disseminate their empirical research, critical literary analysis, policy analysis, or artistic endeavors to a wider audience.

Eligibility

Any undergraduate student may submit their research and scholarly work to Aletheia. Manuscript submissions after the author’s graduation are welcome if the bulk of the work was completed before the primary author’s undergraduate graduation. Submission and processing fees are waived for Alpha Chi members. Nominal fees are required for non-members. Collaborative authorship is also welcome and should follow the convention of the discipline of the scholarship. Questions regarding authorship and undergraduate status should be directed to an editor.

Submissions can be in any basic or applied field of study, including the physical and life sciences, the social sciences, the humanities, education, engineering, and the arts.

About Alpha Chi

Alpha Chi National College Honor Society members are juniors, seniors, and graduate students from all disciplines in the top ten percent of their classes invited to membership by a collegiate chapter. Active on nearly 300 campuses nationwide, chapters induct approximately 8,500 students annually. Since the Society’s founding in 1922, Alpha Chi members have dedicated themselves to “making scholarship effective for good.” A college seeking a chapter must grant baccalaureate degrees and/or advanced degrees, be regionally accredited, and be a not-for-profit institution.
